Goldenwest college teas test

Hey everyone. I was accepted into Goldenwest College's nursing program and will start August 2010. Of course, the ATI testing site decides to release a new version of the TEAS (Version 5) so now I don't know which study guide to spend more time on. I realize its all the same basic info, but I read that the Version 5 is more difficult. After taking the practice exams, I did notice a significant decrease in my score with the Version 5 as opposed to the Version 3.0-4.0. So my question is: Does anyone know which version of the TEAS Goldenwest will be offering? I called the school, but they claim they are not allowed to tell me which is BS. The aATI testing site actually recommends you ask your testing location which version they are using! Ugh. Thanks guys.

hi, i am actually accepted to gwc for spring 2011. knowing there is a new version makes me nervous however, i was told that we need version 4.0. my friends and i are studying with the 4.0 guide, but now i'm going to call and double check. and yes, it is totall b.s. saying they can't tell you!

Thanks for your reply! I take the test tomorrow, so I can let you know then. That doesnt help my situation though! If you call GWC and they give you an answer will you post it on here for me? Id just feel more comfortable knowing it was the 4.0 version. Its so much easier! I've called twice to ask them and they act like there is no difference between the two versions and its "all information i should know already" and to just study as much as I can. They claim they dont know the version that will be given, but I know thats a lie because so many other people on this site have contacted their school and were given the information on which version to study for. So frustrating!

just want to let you know,

..on my way off campus earlier i stopped by the nursing center and asked the receptionist which version. she told me it is the 4.0 version, not the 5.0. she also said they have a few left in the bookstore (it sounds like you have it already though).

also, i forgot that on my acceptance letter at the end it says to purchase the 4.0 version.

Hi mfranklin0985, just wondering how the test went??? I was accepted to GWC, but for spring 2011, so I was told we wont be taking the test until end of may or june.

Hey Spring of 2011 class- I was going to go to Goldenwest for fall, but at the last minute was offered a spot in the cypress 2010 fall class, so I am going to go there. However, I had already bought my Med-surg books and opened them up so I can not return them. I also have the 3 school patches for the uniforms. the Books are $180 at the bookstore and the patches are 15.00 for the 3 from CNSA. I am willing to sell all of them together for $150. Let me know if you are interested in buying them!!
