Golden West College ADN Spring 2023

It seems like every cohort/application cycle has one of these pages. I wanted to start a new thread for the Spring 2023 cycle so we can keep each other updated during the application period and ask questions. Best wishes to everyone applying!

Yes, we're in the midst of a waiting game atm! But can I just say, I'm really grateful that we're almost halfway through it. GWC has an amazing turnaround time considering how many applicants they receive each application cycle. I know some of the other programs I'm applying to don't send out their final decisions until Sept or even Oct?

As far as places to apply to I'd look at trying to get a job at any of GWC's clinical partners. Not only will you feel more at home during clinicals, but you'll also get a preview of what the program looks like from the inside before you get accepted and start next Spring!

Last year they didn’t hear back until October 19th

No, I think GWC is the same because last year for Spring 2022 they didn’t hear back until October 19th

The email receipt sent by the Nursing Application Team says their review period "lasts about a month." It's under the What will happen next? section in the email you received after submitting your application.

If anyone does receive news early, plz share with us on here?

Does anyone know how many applicants they will accept for Spring 2023?

Hello,

Does anybody know if the school accepts TEAS 7 scores now if one takes it now? I took TEAS 6 last year but the scores were low (above the required minimum). I have tried sending emails to the nursing department, but no response so far.

TEAS 7 is fine

I didn't apply for Spring 2023 because my first TEAS 6 was 68. So, I am planning to take TEAS 7 to get a better score.
