Golden West College ADN Spring 2022

Hey everyone,

I'm starting this thread so we can support each other through the next round of applications. It's my 3rd time applying and I now have 81 points. I think it could go either way for me at GWC, but I do feel like I'm getting in somewhere no matter what. Good luck!

Just got off the phone with the nursing department. She told me that there was a glitch where a small number people who already got in for Fall 2021 received another offer for Spring 2022. However, that was the only glitch. If you received an offer for Spring 2022 and aren't already a student for Fall '21 then it was legit. Make sure you email them to accept or reject your spot ASAP. For the next week they will be going through and doing a hand audit to make sure everyone's points are valid, and then they will send out an official offer signed by the director. 

I just got some other confusing emails after I wrote the above. This seems like a huge mess they are going to have to clean up. The best way to get a clear answer is to call. Ask if you're on the list for transcript review. Good luck.

I've been trying to call them but nobody picked up. I did apply for Spring 2022 on June 28. But the receipt said they have received my application for Fall 2021 which was ended in March. Don't even know what to do now.

I just emailed back to clear up the confusion and they confirmed that my application was on file and that I am on the threshold list for Spring 2022! I tried calling earlier too but no one picked up, so I emailed!

Just got another update: If you received an acceptance email at your GWC email address then you are good. The issue was that a bunch of people who were not accepted received invite emails via their personal email address.

Can I ask whether Your application receipt said Fall 2021 or Spring 2022?

Wow. They’re sending out acceptances already. It’s seems that these online forms are a game changer. Hopefully I get an email  as well. I would rather know I’m not accepted sooner rather than later.

I emailed ------------------------, who initially sent out the emails saying that my application wasn’t on their database and that to disregard the previous emails sent out. Then she followed up with me to clear up the confusion and sent me a follow up email to my student account saying that I was confirmed that I’m on the list for Spring 2022. My application receipt is also for Spring 2022. She also said whichever email that was sent to our student email was correct and authoritative. She was quick to respond, so if you got the email saying to disregard the previous emails, follow up with it through email to see if they respond.

When did you send out your application? I submitted mine on 6/28 and 100% sure it was a Spring 2022 not Fall 2021 since its ended in April already. I emailed her but she hasn't responded yet. Super confused and depressed right now ?

I submitted on July 1st. I hope they get back to you soon ?

hey everyone, I just wanted to know if GWC only accepts the FIRST TEAS score you've ever taken or if you've taken it multiple times, and it's your first time applying then you can send in the highest score you've received from the past retakes. bc I believe when I spoke to a nursing counselor that if it is my first time applying ever, then I can send it whatever score that I would like

(MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) got back to me confirm that my application is in the review pool for Spring 2022 cohort. Phew.. now I can finally sleep well
