Going to ODS 9/1/08; what shall I take???

I finally recieved the news that my packet was excepted for the Navy Nurse Corps!!! Things are going quickly now, I am swearing in on Friday, starting ODS 9/1/08 (don't know when I will be sent there), and my ultimate duty station is Naval Hosptial Camp Pendleton. So basically, what should I be taking to ODS, what should I expect, anyone been stationed at Camp Pendleton, what areas are family friendly to live in? Any comments and/or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I apologize for the last response. I applied in April and recieved my final selection letter late July and was just commisioned last week Friday. Basically once you recieve your final selection letter everything goes quickly but the wait to recieve it was dreadful!!!

Thanks for the reply. My Daughters packet goes to the board in Sept. She will complete her Master's program in December. When did you get accepted by the board? Then the final acceptance letter later?
