Going for ADN - take BSN courses now or later?

Published

Hey all! My plan is to go through the ADN program and then do the RN - BSN bridge. Right now I'm basically getting 90% financial aid but I'm assuming that will change when I am working as an RN. I'm looking at what classes would be needed to get into the RN-BSN program and there are some that I could just take now (stats, communications, electives, etc) assuming these don't expire. What are your thoughts? I don't expect to get into the ADN program until 2012 and graduate 2014 and then get moving with my BSN.

I'll be applying for the Nursing program on January 2012. I just finished my 1st semester of pre requists for my ADN. I took 4 classes in the fall...next semester I'll be taking 6, then 4 more in the summer and I'll be finish with my ADN. However, in the meantime I have the whole fall without doing nothing, so I'll be taking 4 classes for the bachelor....I don't want to complicate my life taking classes for the bachelor since now. I advise you to focus on your associate and getting good grades, and then start thinking in the everything else. At least that's the way I see it. Good luck :)
