Anyone have any source for goals and objectives for psych conditions?
Dear Zenman,
Thanks for your advice and guidance here. I'm on soul-journey.. been in the computer field (I have BS in Computer Science degree) in a long time and not anymore feel fulfilled about what I do. I think I'm ready to jump into the unknown-career (Nursing). I stumble upon this site and your thread upon internet search. Would you be kind to give an advice on how one should start fr ground-up to get into PMHMP? Such as BSN-to MSN to NP? Nursing rank and designations varies a lot. Thank you in advance. You can also PM if you would prefer that at [email protected] Thanks greatly!

Yes, the compensation and lifestyle is good as long as you enjoy the work. I love my job in spite of some minor annoyances that I can't really complain about. Some NPs complain about direct entry programs and can tell the difference with graduates of such programs. In psych you really need to know almost all medical conditions and meds because some of these can cause psych-related problems or your psych meds may interact negatively with other meds. Some of your meds may also cause physical problems. In any cause you have some health care background and can learn the above. Good luck.
