GMC or DCCC

Hi, I have been going nuts trying to find more info on gywennd mercy college but I can't seem to find anything. I was going to go into nursing but I have just switched it to Respiratory. There is a program at both delaware community college and GMC. I live in Miami right now and am moving up there so I can't go into the schools to check them out.

Can someone tell me why GMC is 30k a year??? That is insane! The entire program at DCCC is less than 15k. Is this some sort of elite school? Can anyone tell me any differences or which one has better ratings. If anyone has any personal experience that would be great as well.

The thing is, I will be missing a math prereq for DCCC but I'm fine with GMC which is why I'm considering that school over DCCC. I don't want to have to wait another year to get into the program.

Also, as far as clinical sites, are they already chosen, or do we have to find them on our own? I think both schools use the same locations right? I would love to do something at CHOP because that's where I would love to end up working, but I'm not sure how it works as far as being able to do clinicals there.

I'm not too familiar with their respiratory programs but Im familiar with both their nursing programs. Both are great schools but dccc is a junior college which is why they are so inexpensive and GMC is a private college so they charge a lot more for the same degree. Both of these schools are out of the philadelphia county so I'm not sure if they will have clinical sites in philadelphia. (I'm almost certain dccc doesn't.) GMC has over 200 sites so that might be your best bet to have CHOP as your clinical site. If their clinicals are done similar to their nursing programs you will be assigned a site and won't be able to choose one for the most part. I hope this helps some and good luck.

Thanks for your reply. I just want to know that this school is worth the 28,000$ a year. That is A LOT compared to any other school I've looked into. I was going to apply to DCCC this year, but I am still in Miami and apparently have to take some crazy test called the HOBET. ? I've never heard of it and I don't know why it's required. So I am out for August's program. I can apply next year but I really don't want to wait another year. Apparently GMC's only requirement is that I have chemistry done. I have about 7 pre-requisites done, so I'm assuming I will have no issue getting in, however, I have heard that this school has a tendency not to transfer credits.

I can't find any reviews on the school itself, or the teachers, staff, education etc. I would hate to go into something this expensive completely blind.
