I posted this in the other NJ section by accident. Is there anyone here that is applying for the GCC 2010 prgram?

Me, too! Congratulations. . .now working on the to-do list from GCC!

Hi! I just got my acceptance letter for 2010...anyone else? Would love to talk here before we start:)

Congratulations to the two of you. If you have any questions about the program, ask me, I'm a recent graduate (2009). It is the same curriculum.

So am I...right now I'm just excited...by August I'll forget to be excited because I'll just be nervous :)

Is it still white top, navy bottom for scrubs and all white, closed backed shoes? I know they recommend one left top pocket, but is another all-white style acceptable? I'm having a hard time finding a top that will fit...I don't mind them being big but the arm holes gap...kinda more showing than seemed professional. Thank you sooo much for responding to the post! It would be so helpful to have someone with experience to question!

Best advice: keep your anxiety level as low as possible, it's how you pass nursing school.

A, B, C doesn't matter. Keep your stress level down and you will be able to process the stored information in your memory for the critical thinking tests.

Uniform: white/white or white top/blue bottom; doesn't matter, it's nursing school, just buy a few sets, it's not a fashion show. If you're shy or easily offended, you'll lose it the first week when you bathe your classmate in your underwear while your instructor watches like a voyeur.:lol2:

Yes, I got in too! : )

LMAO, "Leroy"!

That's only true of ONE instructor!

And are you really telling the truth when you say it's a good program? Is that just because you made it through? LOL! Just yankin' yer chain, man...

Nurse Leroy,

Congrats! quick ? For any of the nursing classes, do you have to write papers or is it strictly mult. choice. I have completed all classes on the control sheet except the nursing ones. i know a few grads not from gcc who have not found a job yet. are you in the same boat, if you dont mind me asking?

thanks

does anyone know if the gcc nursing classes involve writing papers or if they are graded just on exams? thanks

I'm not sure, but based on the other classes at GCCC I am sure we will have to write some papers.
