Good luck! I am apply to the general nursing program so portfolios are due by February and we find out in March. When would your program begin? I just took the HESI for the first time and got a 90.36% over all. I have an A in AP1 and am currently taking AP2. I am curious as to my chances of getting in the program. In your portfolio did you use both your AP 1 & 2 scores or just one of them? Have you heard anything about the competitiveness of these programs?
WOW! you will definitely get in the program with that HESI score! I went to the information session and they said they have accepted all LPN-RN students that applied and met all the criteria from the past 2 years, kind of hinted that people weren't putting the portfolios together correctly and that they omitted some schools because one instructor said "we will find out if you attended any other schools than the ones you listed" so I'm crossing my fingers that all the LPN-RN students that applied get in. Wish I knew how much competition I had. We start January 2. I'm pretty sure they take the higher grade of the two science courses for us. My friend from high school is applying to the general program with you. I hope you both get in! The end of October cant get here any faster! I'm dying to know if I got in. I'll keep you posted. Did you attend the information session yet?
i hope so! the counselor i spoke to said they let all general nursing applicants in 2 years ago and almost all last year. did your friend take her hesi yet? the anticipation must be killing you! i cant wait for march to get here so i can find out already! its so nerve racking! i hope you get it! i didnt go to the info session yet. im planning on next month.

This discussion is regarding Gloucester County College LPN-RN program. Today I turned in my portfolio, decision letters go out in October 2013. Looking for any advice/information regarding the program. Any other Spring 2014 hopefuls out there? Really need someone to worry with me until decision letters get in the mail. Has anyone recently graduated from the program that can share their experience?
Scored a 88% on the Hesi (on my first try), 910 on the critical thinking section, got A's in my A&P I & II courses. Do I have a good shot at getting in the program?
