I would like to get input or reviews about the nursing program, especially for the 2nd coursers, at GCIC (Global City Innovative College).

Is there any BSN graduate in this forum who are now working in the United States? I would like to get info how GCIC helped you achieved your intellectual goal as well as in terms of skills?

How many students are accepted in the program each semester and how many are able to graduate?

What are the percentage of students dropping out or being kicked out from their program and what are the reasons?

What is the typical amount of time a 2nd courser, with science and non-science prerequisites completed, could possibly complete the BSN program?

These are just a few questions I have in mind for now. Hopefully I will be able to get some info from you guys. Thanks.

Since no one have any info about this institution, I did my own research. I went there myself on January 2011. I gave them my transcripts for them to evaluate. According to them, my general ed. courses are credited. I have taken 3 nursing courses in the U.S. I was told that if I can provide course descriptions of those courses I want to be credited, they will check and evaluate. They had me take the entrance exam and pay the exam fee (forgot how much). After the entrance exam, they gave me a letter stating that I am accepted to their BSN program. I went back to the U.S. to work and save up more cash. After more than 2 months, I went back to GCIC. I already leased a place where I will stay. I met with the Admissions staff and right there they pulled out my paperworks. To my surprise, I was told that they cannot credit my general ed courses. Now that I'm serious and decided to enroll at their institution, they will say that my general ed courses were taken a long time ago and that I have to take them again. I asked about giving me credit for the basic nursing courses (fundamentals of nursing and pharmacology). I provided them the course description. Those courses should be the same because those are the basics. They said they could not give credit. Since when nursing courses in the U.S. nursing program not the same with the nursing program in a third world country?

My point is that this institution lied to me. I thought that since it is located in the modern city of Manila, they would be honest.
