Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello, My name is Emmely. I wanted to start a topic for those of us who have applied to the GCC program for 2019. I applied for their LVN bridge program. Let's keep each other updated.

I did not make it :( I'll need to take a few more courses to be placed in eligible status, per GCC. But no worries, I know my time will come soon :) I just wanted to say CONGRATS to all that made it!

I love your response! Where there is a will there is a way. Do what's necessary and yes your time will come.

Was anyone that applied to the ADN program invited for the teas, or did everyone here apply for the LVN bridge program? Good luck everyone :)

Hi this thread is for the LVN and general RN program. GCC works both programs at the same time. Did you get invited to take the tEAS?

Yes there was I received an email about two days ago inviting me to take teas end of October

Thank you. I'll be praying for us my self, it is so competitive out there ! I applied to ELACs bridge program back in April and was place on the waiting list. It is a guarantee spot once its your turn on the list; it's a 2 year wait. I also applied to Pasadena City College and was an alternate but did not make the cut. I plan to applied to Citrus and LA county school of Nursing in December. I'm striving to get into a bridge program and have not applied to any generic program.

Moorpark and Rio Hondo- are other good options for bridge programs.

How do u know u didn't make the cut its still early! Don't give up on Pasadena yet. Best of luck to everyone. Can't wait till I can apply to all these!!

Hi, I applied to GCC Generic RN program as well. I already took the TEAS, turned it in, and I am in the lottery. Lets keep each other updated! I also applied to COC, LACC, LAVC, and will apply to Pasadena as well. Good luck to all.

Hi everyone !

I also applied and I'm in the lottery as well! Hopefully I get in! Positive vibes, good luck to everyone else!

Hi everyone,

I've applied to both pcc and gcc lvn to rn program. Just recently got accepted to the pcc program (starts the same time as gcc) but was wondering how this program is as oppose to pcc. I heard pcc has a high drop/fail rate.

I hope that you accepted PCC! I've heard great things about both programs.

I did accept it but my first choice would be GCC. I heard and researched that PCC has a high ratio in drop/kicked out of the program rate than GCC does.

Hi! I was wondering where you got this info? I want to find out the other drop rate for other programs.
