I got accepted too!! :) I sent in the form that we're suppose to sign, just waiting to get my background check information now.

I just realized that GCC is not ACEN (formerly NLNAC) accredited. Will this cause issues when finding jobs or applying to schools to further our nursing education?

hi okay, so i was rejected initially and now I just received an alternate seat! what is this about accreditation?

can anyone please tell me when the nursing program actually starts for Fall 2015. Im a bit confused about the summer/fall cohort.

They're accredited by the Boards of California Registered Nurse (BRN). GCC has joint programs with CSULA, CSUF, and Chamberlain to get your BSN (This is on GCC's website). All of those programs are CCNE accredited, which is higher than ACEN. So assuming if you follow GCC's plan, you'll have a BSN from a CCNE accredited school.

Most of the nurses who work at my hospital graduated from GCC so I don't think it's a problem

Did any of you guys get instructions on where and when the deadline is for fingerprinting and drug screening? I didn't receive anything after I submitted my letter of intent and I'm worried it's due before orientation on the 5th
