Hey!! There is no thread about the updates at GCC, so I created one!!!Let's get a convo going... I have not heard back from GCC about the lottery. Has anyone received any updates?
You were posting on LACC's thread right? If so, I am on the very same boat as you
No. I applied to la county, Pierce, Glendale and valley. I'm so upset!! The lottery system sucks big time!! I know a couple of people who had a lower GPA and lower teas score and still got in!!! I'm still hoping for la county since they go based off of points. Congratulations to everyone else who's been accepted.

I didn't get in either. I called LACC and they said that they still have not called everyone that was selected, so there's still hope there. Good luck to us all and to those of you who got accepted, congratulation.

I know what you mean. I had a group of cheaters in my anatomy and micro class that cheated their way through the semester (and got a C in both) and all of them got into a program. So annoyed. and I'm sure being in a nursing program will not stop their cheating behavior either.

Wow!! That's horrible! I doubt they'll get through nursing then! Sooner or later they'll get caught, But it sucks for the rest of us who actually work for our grades and make sacrifices. Good luck to you and everyone else! I'm hoping La County will choose me for the fall.
I am so insulted right now as well. I fought tooth and nail for a 3.8 gpa while working crazy hours taking 14-16 units a semester sometimes. Congrats to the applicants who got in honorably :) I hope we are graced with positive energy to get into a program!!! I applied to LA county, PCC, and Trade tech. I hope I get into any at this point
Just found out there is another topic for GCC Fall 2017. I was one of the lucky few that were selected for their standard RN program. My top choice is PCC, but looking at GCC's NCLEX pass rate + clinical sites...it's difficult to pass it up. Here are the clinical sites which you can find in their student nurse handbook:Does anyone know where clinicals are done at? I never went to an info session so I'm not sure what hospitals are partnered with Glendale. Also, what's the schedule like for the regular generic program?
