Hi, I just started a nursing job 2 1/2 months ago, Im still on probation until the end of this month. I got offered a FT job with benefits and am starting it soon. How much notice do I need to give being that Im on probation still?

There's no need to burn bridges, so I would play it safe by giving your current employer a two week notice of resignation so that you have a chance of being available for rehire. They might not require you to work the entire two weeks since you are still on probation, but giving advance notice of resignation is the professional thing to do.
Thanks, I know your right. Ive never had to give a notice before, this was my first nursing job, so im really nervous, do I write a letter or talk to the supervisor, what is the norm? thanks!

Both, if possible. Talk to her and hand her your letter. She'll need it in writing either way ... but talking to her shows her respect and is a professional courtesy you should give her.
