I need a gift idea for secretary days, I am a staff nurse and they do such a great job I would like to get them a little something but not sure what, there are 3 of them and 1 of me! The unit generally gives them flowers and last year I did lotion and shower gel from Bath and Body. Any reasonable inexpensive ideas welcomed.

I was thinking of gift certificates to the coffee shop we have in our lobby. Maybe you could do starbucks or Barnes and Noble. Just $10 each.

I guess it depends on the secretary. Do you know much about them? I mean, if any one of them collects something inexpensive, or is a fan of a particular team, or likes a particular type of food - well, there you go. I'm poor and I enjoy baking, so I tend to give people baked goods as presents (I make diabetic-friendly stuff or gluten-free items, whatever is appropriate). People always seem to appreciate them.
If you don't really know any of them, then gift cards for nearby places like coffee shops or popular lunch places are nice, as the previous poster suggested. Sometimes gift cards for things like Amazon or eBay are cool, but it depends on the person. One secretary we had was a movie buff, so as a group, we got her a book of ten free movie passes to a classic-movie theater in town; she really liked that. That's the best I can think of right now - sorry, I'm a bit fried from studying....
i do know all of them well and I thought about baking because I love to do it and find it to be a stress reliefer for me. I also thought about a dvd and some movie treats. Just cannot make up my mind, last year I did cookies so was trying for something else this year but gift certificates would work even if they were for in our cafeteria.

how about Yankee Candle>>>
I have the world's greatest blueberry zucchini bread recipe if you'd like it - it works beautifully for muffins too! Super yummy. Baking is such an awesome stress therapy (as long as I give the results to others)!
The dvd + movie treats idea is nice too...I did that as a Christmas gift for my step-grandparents a few years back and they liked it.
