On my list of things to do:

-Attend Nursing Information Session

-Take TEAS-V

I plan to continue after my ASN to my BSN from Elms College so I'm working on required courses for that program as well.

I look forward to getting to know others who are going through the process! Enjoy the day!

Fall registration is at midnight I wonder if the decisions will be up then. I'm going the LPN to RN bridge program...does anyone know anything about how the bridge program is?? I know its through Charter Oak

This Monday!? Omg I am so nervous/excited. Good luck!!

Does anyone know how the fall semester works at Gateway or any of the schools for that matter? It looks life class is evey day all day, there are so may hour choices, how many hours are the classes actually supposed to be?

Also, how does a school expect you to take microbiology when the sections are full within one day? Craziness!

Thanks and best of luck. I am so nervous :)

My school said we will find out Wednesday.

I am in my last class of my last semester of the LPN to RN bridge, not at any of the community colleges (I go to St Vincent's). If/when accepted into the bridge program, you do a web based online class through Charter Oak prior to starting your nursing classes. In order to register for that class, the department head of the nursing program from the school you've been accepted to will send the authorization for you to take that class. At the time I took the Charter Oak class, it was only offered in the Spring semester (Jan-March) and in the Summer session. Once you pass that class, you then, you do a 1 credit class through your 'home' school. (whatever school you have been accepted by). My school had their 1 credit class start right after the Charter Oak class ended, I took mine in April.

Check the school that you applied to. Check for the LPN transitional class and see when its offered.

NVCC offers the LPN to RN transitional 1 credit class in the summer.

Thank you very much for your help!! Good luck to you!!

You HAVE TO take Micro in the summer or in the Fall if you haven't yet. they won't let you take NUR 101 without having micro done by this summer or Fall 2013. I am in my 2. semester at NVCC and still have to take one of my electives which is due by the 4th NUR semester, so I'm taking it this summer instead of during the last semester. Look at that "Program of Study" sheet that came in the NUR application info and make sure you have all the required classes either taken or take it before or during the assigned semester. Good luck everyone! Can't believe it's been one year since I received my acceptance letter! Hope you all make it in!

I heard GCC letters have been sent, and that unaccepted letters went out two weeks ago.

GCC will have a different schedule because of the larger class size.

My.commnet says letters will only go out for unaccepted students, and online for wait listed and accepted students.

Even when letters were sent, the colleges did not send out their own letters. They come from The Board of Regents in Hartford. I believe (not sure if it is true or not) that they do the ranks and the lottery in Hartford as well. The colleges do all the footwork (check documents, GPA's etc) and send all the information to Hartford were they rank everyone for each college. All the letters, regardless of what college they applied to, used to be mailed on the same day from Hartford.

GCC will have a different schedule because of the larger class size.

How many does GCC accept? I was told at an information session that Capital is the largest at 162, then Naugatuck at 125. It looks like Gateway accepts 96, is that correct?
