Get comfortable shoes; very important as you will be on your feet a lot and lifting.
A pocket size note book, and pens. I also wore a 'fanny pack' to carry wallet, cell, etc.
Protein bars or some small snack to keep energy. Bottled h20, stay hydrated.
When you get the text book, take the end of chapter review tests then study what you don't know. The text books tend to be HUGE and it can be difficult to read everything, focus on what you need to learn.
Keep an open mind and conduct yourself professionally at all times. You'll want to make a great impression and be a desirable new hire for the nursing home.
Good luck and enjoy the training!
