- 5 Weird Questions Patients Have Asked As An OB Nurse

LPN'S
I'm a LPN student and I just don't understand why everyone is so focused on what type of education you have as a nurse. The way I see nursing is there's always room for advancement, that's part of the appeal but it dosen' t make anyone better than the other person. Who cares if RNs work more in hospitals and LPNs work in LTC and clinics. Nobody is "just" an anything, we are going or went through the hell known as nursing school and deserve the title nurse.

The worst job you had before becoming a Nurse?
I'm currently in nursing school but the worse job I've had was cashier (then later promoted to Beauty Adviser) at Walgreens. They worked me like a dog for minimum wage and I had to deal with the junkies cussing me out because the pharmacy denied them their meds. At least in nursing I'll get paid a lot more to deal with those people lol.
-
switch from medical school to nursing?
I can relate because my ex husband wasn't supportive at all when I told him I wanted to be a nurse. Sometimes we have to do what's best for ourselves, this doesn't make us selfish. If your wife truly loved you then she would support you. If I were you I'd put my foot down or leave. Also, whatever you do don't have a baby right now.

What do your school uniforms look like?
Grey scrubs with our school patch, a white lab coat, black shoes and hair up with small stud earrings and a flat wedding band. I'm so glad they done away with white a few semesters before me lol.

What is the future of Physical Therapist Assistant? | Any jobs in Miami, Fort Lauderdale?|
In my state those jobs are hard to come by that's why I'm in nursing school. You should check out job postings in your area, try career builder, monster, etc. Also, check how many schools have that program, it may be congested.

Classroom CNA student
When I took my CNA class my teacher used power points, we had lecture notes plus our textbook. We also had a quiz after every chapter, homework and we had a new skill each week that we had to practice.

LPN Traning is it hard? Any tips
Well first off, I find your comment unnecessary and second I don't think choosing LPN over RN has anything to do with a lack of intelligence. For most people it's a choice based on their financial situation. I'm sorry you're unhappy with the choice you made but you don't have to bring others down. OP, I'm in LPN school right now and I think it's tough based on the fact that we have so much being thrown at us all at once. I wish you luck in your journey as a nurse.

Age and nursing school
I'm 26 and just started my program last month. I'll be 27 when I graduate from my LPN program :). You're still a youngin.

Antonelli College LPN program.
The debt part I agree with but honestly if you have your LPN license employers don't really care where you went to school.

Antonelli College LPN program.
You have to take the Kaplan exam and have a ged. They don't require an act or preqs but you get "extra points" for certain classes I think and previous healthcare experience. I got in but I have a 3.4 GPA and I made pretty good on the Kaplan so I'm not sure how hard it really is.

Antonelli College LPN program.
The one in my state is, I know a couple of the students from last semester have passed boards and are working. The program is just unreasonably priced. I only applied because I was keeping my options open.

Antonelli College LPN program.
Nope, it was crazy expensive plus I got accepted into JCJC. I talked to a couple of people that did it and they liked it. I just couldn't pay the 19,000 tuition.

Should I become a LPN
That's a question only you can answer, however I can put in my 2 cents. I chose the LPN route because I have an 8 year old son and financial difficulties . If you don't have kids and can support yourself while going to school I say go for RN. You're lucky, the LPN programs in my area are 11 and 12 months.
