Specialties Cardiac

Hi, I’m looking for advice on how I can get into & prepare for a job in PCU. I worked in MS for two years then took two years off for family reasons. Went back to same hospital for 4 months working in PCU to help with Covid patients. I left the hospital because of unsafe staffing. I had 6-7 patients in PCU and didn’t get the training that I was promised. Anyway. I moved and didn’t go back to work. I just needed to step away. Dealing with Covid was rough. How can I get into PCU? Do I have to work SNF? MS if I can get into hospital? I hope I can follow my dreams. Thank you for reading this long post.

If you can get on a MS/tele floor thats a start. Learn all the rhythms. Learn the cardiac medications and drips. If it's a real stepdown (3:1) you will probably also get vents and be able to do a few more drips that other "stepdowns" cant do due to not having the 3:1 ratios.
