Getting a license in NJ

Published

How long did it take the board to allow you to take the NCLEX from when you sent in the application, transcripts, etc. I was thinking it would be sooner rather than later, but I didn't realize that the background check and fingerprinting had to be processed prior to that. I guess I had just assumed that would need to be completed prior to getting your license, but not setting up to test. I'm concerned that it might take several additional weeks to process everything before I can even set up to take the test.

Also, does this state do 2 day results. Would I be able to look on the pearson website in 48 hours and see that I have/haven't passed, thanks!

Thanks for any help!

Hi!

1. As a foreign trained nurse I've got an ATT within 6 weeks.

2. Yes you will be able to get you onoficial result on http://www.vue.com in 48hours.

Good luck

In most instances, the letter that you actually receive from the BON states that you have met all requirements for licensure, except for the NCLEX exam.

So yes, all requirements must be met before you can sit for the exam.
