Getting licenced in BC

World Canada

Published

Hi All

I am a Permanent Resident presently in PEI. I got my NNAS report saying somewhat comparable, but didn't include BC in my application.

I am considering moving to BC,what are the steps i need in getting a license to practice as an RN or LPN. What is the length of time?

Anyone with an idea please?

Thank you

Also what was your timeline for the entire process.

Hi ZaRn.

I submitted my transcript and course description from my School of nursing, midwifery and university.

I got the form for my employer to fill out also

The entire process took 1 year.

Hello Voni4real

Thanks for your prompt response. I was considering removing my Midwifery program from the assessment. I sent a mail to Nnas to waive the information I filled for it

I am applying for rn and lpn. Please did you submit 2 separate sets of forms for the rn and lpn applications? The forms are similar with the application number being the difference, hence my confusion.

Same form dear.

Same document will cover for the both. .

I will advise you add your midwifery.

Where are you at?

In Nigeria. Thanks a lot. I will go ahead to try and cancel the waiver. I will also leave off sending the second set of forms.

You cannot become a RN in Canada unless you are a citizen or permanent resident.

I beg to disagree. I have never set foot in Canada yet I obtained my RN license in 2014.
