Getting fired for reporting bullying

I was let go a few days ago becauce i went to hR with a letter documenting my being bullied by the senior cnas.

A week ago, the DON met with me to discuss my performance review. I had a really low score due to my preceptors reporting me for no reason other than to sabotage my work. I told her it was retaliation and explained to her that I had been bullied for quite some time. She said she would investigate and gather info from my work from other sources. I then drafted a letter (to document in writing what was going) and gave it to HR and the DON.

well, a few days ago, HR and the DON called me into office, asked me to explain to them exactly what was going on and then terminated my assignment anyway. As a matter of fact, seems like they weren't interested in resolving the situation they just decided that it was more trouble than it was worth so they let me go. bummer but i can't help to feel like i was done so wrong. I live in a at will state and i was on a probationary period but what are my recourse still?

Unfortunately, you don't have any recourse. Living in a "at will" state they can fire you for anything as long as it isn't discrimination. If it happend to you it will happen to the next person. When applying elsewhere just be honest with them. I can't see another employer holding this against you.

Best of luck.
