Getting accepted into MGCCC

Hi! I scored a 21 on my ACT & a 68 on my TEAS Exam. 3.5 GPA! I got my acceptance letter into the ADN Program so I'll be starting in Spring of 2019. Have you heard anything back?

@ADN2021 we have 13 days left in this semester and it’s went by so fast! The course work isn’t really “hard” it’s just a lot so for sure a lot of sleepness nights & skipping out on family/friend time. We have 2 clinical rotations left and we’ve been learning a lot! When you make your schedule, make sure you pick section 1 with Mrs. Horton.. she’s the best! Good luck :)

Thanks for the quick reply! Wow, how the time flies by so fast. I’m glad all seems to be going well and that you are learning a lot. I’m sure it’s exciting that y'all are about to finish the first semester. I’m definitely a family girl, and I like to go to sleep early haha. It’s going to be a game changer, but also a life changer for us all. I will keep your recommendation for the instructor in mind which I didn’t know we can choose. I will know about my acceptance around July 11-15, so I’m excited too.

I applied for fall 2019. i'm honestly really nervous about not getting in. I'm from Alabama... so I'm also going to be picked last. My little cousin was going to school there and shes also from Alabama and they told her that she shouldn't even apply. The lady I spoke to about my application seemed impressed with my test scores but she didn't seem confident that I would get in either. I think thats the most discouraging part. I made a 76 teas, 22 act, and a 3.0 gpa.

@brandilou614 I'm applying for the Fall 2019 semester at MGCCC also. I asked MGCCC what the normal scores are that get accepted... they just say do your best... I have a 3.5 GPA, I take the TEAS in a few weeks and the ACT this Saturday. Hopefully we will both get in! Best wishes!!!

Hey Brandi. I would still apply to the school. You never know what direction life will bring you in. I wish you the best of luck though and same to you RB_twin2. Y’all have great scores. I hear positive things about the program, so I’m eager and hopeful to get in as well!

The application deadline is July 8th. I have heard some people say they have received their acceptance or denial email/letter within 2 weeks after the deadline. I have my college email set up on my phone and it alerts me every time I get an email.

The application dead line is actually July 1st. The orientation modules that we have to completed says 10-14 days after the deadline. However, the application confirmation email says in 2 weeks we will know. Soo.. I’ll be checking my email like crazy as time gets super close! Lol

@ADN2021 Yes, July 1st is the normal deadline. This year the college will be closed July 1st-5th so the deadline for this year is the next open business day which is July 8th. My adviser called the head of the nursing department and made sure it is July 8th. I'm taking a 4 week class to get a better grade so my advisor told me to apply on July 8th. I will be checking my email like crazy also!! Hopefully we all get in.
