German Nurse / Kinderkrankenschwester

Published

Hello everyone :)

I hope to find her some German nurses educated outside in the U.S. Who are working in the states. I could need some advice and support through the process of getting my degree accepted. I finished my 3year nursing program and got my degree as a pediatric nurse (Ausbildung zur Gesundheits- und Kinderkrankenpflegerin 2013). I applies at the boarding of nursing in California, but got rejected since I'm not having enough enough hours in general nursing and my school couldn't provide the curriculum in English so it wasn't possible to evaluate. Does someone experienced this issue?

They asked me to attend a nursing program in the U.S. and hope that the college or university might accept some of my credits from Germany.

Since the Boarding of California is not using an outside evaluation service I'm thinking now of applying in an other state. Might this be easier ?

Moreover I don't know which evaluation service to use ? Can someone give me a recommendation? I mean CGFNS is the biggest one but since I dont have the curriculum in English I will have problems too.

Thank you so much for your help guys. I really appreciate it.

Have a good day !

Which state do you plan on living and working in? If your transcripts are not in English then you have the responsibility on getting it translated

Actually it is in German and English and I got my degree translated but that's not the issue. The boarding of nursing in California is requesting a translated curriculum, which is a about 60pages.

Right now I'm open to go to any state to start my career here in the U.S. So I was wondering if it might be easier in some states where not too many nurses apply for licensure?

Thank you so much
