Georgia State University TRAD Fall 2019

Not sure if the deadline for the Traditional Nursing Track is in May like my advisor says or if it's Feb 15 like nursing.gsu.edu says, but I'm starting this now! I applied to both, but I only found a thread for ACE.
TEAS = 89.3%, GPA = 4.19, Science GPA = 4.23

Good luck, I'm so so so nervous

Yeah, essentially we could be "waitlisted" & they just haven't told us. BUT I really need to know because if I do get in I need to move down there so it's a bunch to prep for. At this point, I just want to know... U G H

Omg same! My lease ends in 3 weeks and I need to know if I should renew or move in with family. How can they give so little time! I heard spring semester is worse

I still have yet to hear anything & haven't had anything come through "informed delivery" with USPS.

For those who got denied, was it through the mail?

I'm guessing since I have yet to hear- i'm just waiting for my denial letter. But I feel like I should have heard something by now...

Got my denial through the mail.

In my experiences calling/email Funches multiple times and leaving message over many months, he is the worst administrator I have ever come across.

Called a different nursing advisor (Denise) and she picked up immediately to talk about my application. They didn’t calculate my current classes final grades so my science GPA looked very bad.

There are 5 science courses, and I made a C in one, and an A in the rest, but since they didn’t take my 2 classes now, it looks like (4.0 + 4.0 + 2.0) / 3 ...... science GPA = 3.3 instead of (4.0 + 4.0 + 4.0 + 4.0 + 2.0) / 5 ... new science GPA = 3.6

She’s calling me back to see what the department says about retaking classes and to see if I’ll be more competitive if I applied now or after another semester.

Also, they will take your most recent course grade for program GPA, and average the first two attempts for science GPA. For those of you considering applying again.

I was just told my application was ineligible. & they won’t tell me why???? The email said my GPA & that I didn’t submit everything. But I 100% submitted everything & my GPA is good? What sciences do they look at?

@brittanyn AP 1&2, microbio, then consecutive... chem, bio, or physics

With those classes I have a science GPA aid 3.0 - what is the minimum? I never saw it posted anywhere

I believe the minimum was 3.0 but unsure, of course higher GPAs would be more competitive though if you had considered retaking courses

Oh no:( I met with the adviser prior to applying and he told me all my GPAs for the program. They were way different than what I thought because I think they only use the classes required for the program. How did you find out this info ?

They emailed me today

I just called the office again and was told that all notifications have been mailed out. He said my letter was mailed out early last week, but I still haven't gotten anything...maybe today. Either way, I guess I will now just find out if I got rejected or wait listed since I never got an acceptance e-mail :( Not sure why they couldn't tell me this info last week when I called....

So all letters are sent and they are expecting us to get them early this week. It’s down to waitlist and denials at this point I think.

Still nothing... how about you guys?
