Georgia State University TRAD Fall 2019

Published

Not sure if the deadline for the Traditional Nursing Track is in May like my advisor says or if it's Feb 15 like nursing.gsu.edu says, but I'm starting this now! I applied to both, but I only found a thread for ACE.
TEAS = 89.3%, GPA = 4.19, Science GPA = 4.23

Good luck, I'm so so so nervous

@jliu, your stats are AWESOME! I don’t understand why you didn’t get in. I’m so sorry about that, but keep pushing! Any school would be lucky to have you!

I'm sorry to hear it, jliu. :(

It's not looking promising for me either.

My TEAS was a 90, overall GPA 3.21, institutional 3.94, if they take the highest attempted science courses, science GPA is 3.6, and 200 volunteer hours.

I was retaking A&P 1 & 2 courses because they were 9 yrs old, I earned a 94 & 95 in both this semester.

I had failed out of KSU's nursing program a few years back, but since then had graduated summa cum laude from GSU and was hoping that would boost my chances with a strong turn around, plus my performance this semester.

Yes your stats are awesome! It's so frustrating to have no explanation. I am sure your GPA will be boosted with the new A&P grades so maybe applying again would give you a better shot? That's my plan if I don't get in this time around. I don't think you would have a problem getting in anywhere else though!

I earned A’s my first round of taking the courses so that didn’t affect my science GPA at least, and I’ve taken so many hours that it won’t change my overall.

About to make a call and ask if retaking microbio would improve my chances, if the science GPA would affect my chances.

jliu,

I am sorry to hear that. This is so nerve wrecking.

Did you guys apply anywhere else besides GSU?

GSU is the only school I applied to specifically because of the ACE program as well the location.

Only place I applied to bc of proximity and eligibility

I only applied to the BSN programs at GSU and Augusta University. Man, I wish I had applied to more programs! Even ADN programs! Because if these don't pan out, I literally don't know what I'm going to do. ?

I haven't gotten a response from either school.

I applied to GSU and Perimeter College only too becayse of locations. Herzing is my plan B if plan A does not pan out.

Does Herzig have a campus in Atlanta? I didn’t think they did when I looked

The estimated cost for the BSN program at Herzing is $89,000?!?!?!?!

Is this right?! :dead:

Would you mind sharing your stats?

I have an overall 3.75 GPA, 3.96 science GPA, 86.7 TEAS and a biology degree with a concentration in medicine. I also have about 225 volunteer hours.
