Georgia State University Nursing Fall 2017

Hi, has anyone submitted their application for fall 2017 semester yet?

I viewed the thread for Spring 2017, but didn't see anything for Fall semester.

I've submitted mine last week, and I'm scared already (yes, before they even start looking at the applications...). I applied to only the ACE track, but I'm afraid my grade is not good enough.....

GPA: 3.73

Science GPA: IDK

TEAS: 86

I volunteer at Northside Hospital and got my supervisor to write my letter of recommendation, does this earn me extra points on the application?

I'm a really bad writer, the part of the application I'm scared the most is my essay.... I wrote about the Affordable Care Act, I picked it on purpose cause it's a big thing, but now I'm scared...

Ok! I called like half hour ago and the lady on the phone told me that I should have received an email by now and that decisions were made last Friday. She freaked me out :(. Then, o just called again and spoke to Ms. Little, she told me that they have a delay and emails will be sent later this week. I can't wait for this to end.
I completely agree. Add that on to the stress of finals and last minute assignments and you have a full-on meltdown, like me.

I could be wrong, but from my experience if you don't receive an email immediately with the others that have been accepted, you've either been waitlisted or rejected.

Hello, I just joined allnurses and I'm currently looking to apply for Fall 2018 to the ACE program. Would anyone here who's prepared, applied, and/or been accepted be willing to chat about the process? I'm not a student at GSU and so I haven't been able to get too much help from the admissions office.

For those who called the office to ask for their application status, which number did you guys call? I tried to call 404-413-1000, it went straight into the voicemail, only one time someone answered and put me on hold, and hung up during the hold....what is this? Where to file complaints?

For everyone who has already applied: when calculating your science GPA, does GSU add in old attempts on science prerequisites as well? I missed a final in my micro lab and made a D my very first semester  Even though I did repeat to replace and that helped my overall GPA, I'm not sure if it still counts towards my actual science GPA that they'll look at when I apply. If so, I'm screwed unfortunately. With that D added into my science GPA, it's at a 3.21, which is obviously way too low.

i believe all attempt count

I have applied not sure if I have been accepted yet but I would be willing to help you with the process if you need. I kow it is a lot! My email adress is [email protected]

Has anyone received a waitlist/rejection letter yet??

So, I just called, and talked to a man, he said that he just received the confirmation from the review commitee saying that the last notice will be sent out by the 28th of April. And I also asked him about the rumor about whoever hasn't receive their letter are either rejected or waitlisted, he said it's not true. This is a big relieve, but at the same time, one more anxious week...they just can't go easy on us...

I think that they tell everyone who calls a different story. First, they told me that we should hear back last Thursday, then Friday. Last time I called someone told me thus Friday, and on and on. ..

They should be honest and tell / give us a real date and stop playing with our anxiety level especially this period of exams.

@asiaj The letter for your nursing acceptance should be from Wanda Little and titled GSU Byrdine F Lewis something something

I just received an email update on my GSU email saying "The Admissions Committee is currently reviewing Fall 2017 applications. Acceptance emails will be sent out on a case by case basis as soon as decisions are made. All decision letters and acceptance emails will be sent out by April 28th."
