Hi there, I was just accepted into GSU's FNP program for Spring 2015. What would you like to know? You go to the website and go to admissions and click on Apply Yourself or something like that. It'll take you to the online app and you just follow directions. You have to write an essay, a statement of purpose, upload resume, get at least 2 recommendations and one has to be from a professor if you were in school in the last 5 years, and send in your transcripts. There's some forms to fill out to, but it's all there. It'll check stuff off as you turn it in and you can see what is still pending from you.
Good luck!
I think it's pretty competitive. That's what they told us in the interviews at least. I know of people that have not gotten in, so they def don't take everyone. I don't know how MAT score works. It's definitely not like the TEAS. Because I scored around an 80 on that MAT and thought that was terrible but apparently it was right on track. My Nursing school GPA was 3.72, but my overall from every single college class I've ever taken was something like a 3.3. I'm pretty sure they look at the program GPA of 3.72, which is pretty competitive in nursing.
Hello ATLbubbles,
I am applying for Fall 2015 as well. What is the interview process like? Group or individual? Are you interviewed by a panel? Also are the questions scenario based?
Are you enjoying the program thus far?
If you would prefer, go ahead and inbox me. I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts and comments. It is good when feedback can be given from someone who is already in a program that you wish to get into.
Hey guys, last year they had a new dean that thought eliminating interviews would be less time consuming for faculty, but faculty decided they really need to interview people before they enter the program. They want to get to know everyone.
you apply. Then they call you for interview. You go to the interview and sit around a table with the other interviewees. They go over general info with everyone, they they send you out one by one for interview. I noticed everyone around my table seemed to have gotten in. So if you get that far and they get a good feel for you, you are probably pretty much in

Has anyone applied to GSU's FNP program. I'm planning on applying to start in Fall of 2015 and would like to know about the application process.
Thanks
