Hello edmia, Can you please provide some information about what the on-call per diem position entails? I am in GA and considering applying for this position and would really appreciate getting insight from someone who does this job.

Whohoo, I was accepted into the FNP program. Thank you ATLbubbles and CarrollS for staying with me on this thread :). I wish you all the best as you move forward in your respective programs. I now have to weigh pros and cons of both the programs I was accepted into and go from there, but either way, onward it is.

ATLbubbles, Are you in the full-time program? How long does it take to complete full-time studies?

Keegan, I believe the interviewing process is relatively new. I have a co-worker who attends GSU's FNP program, and has been in the part time program for greater than a year. She did not have to interview.

Even though I currently work in critical care, I am interested in FNP. I've submitted my application. What about you? Also do you know how long the program takes to complete, when doing fulltime studies?

Hello ATLbubbles, I am applying for Fall 2015 as well. What is the interview process like? Group or individual? Are you interviewed by a panel? Also are the questions scenario based? Are you enjoying the program thus far? If you would prefer, go ahead and inbox me. I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts and comments. It is good when feedback can be given from someone who is already in a program that you wish to get into.

tallchica54, I believe they called about a week, possibly 10 days after the application period had closed, to set up an interview.

IheartNursess I am not that familiar with GA as I've been here for just about a year and a half. I live in Smyrna which is relatively close to Piedmont ~ 20-25 mins or so w/o traffic. It would be a good place to look into. Marietta is further away from Piedmont but it would also depends on where in Marietta you were looking. AN is strange - sometimes I get notification that there is a new post, sometimes I don't ha. If you have any other questions or want to link up once you get here then just send me a message.

Hello IheartNursess Congrats on getting in. I have not heard back, so can't count myself as a future coworker. Where are you moving from? Have you started looking at places to live? Atlanta traffic can be quite ridic so if you can, try to find a place that is relatively close to the hospital..

Hello sremery, I live in GA and didn't need to ask about it, so I am unsure about relocation reimbursement. My understanding is that the new grad residency is to start in August, but I am not sure. I was interviewed for critical care position, maybe start date differs based on specialty. I have not heard back as yet so truly can't say for sure. Are you a new grad? If hired, where would you be relocating from?

Hi bamgam9, Sorry for the delayed response - I didn't get notification that a response had come in. The interview is panel style, the interviewers are all very nice and encouraging and as such the is not super stressful. Review common interview questions. You should have received an email on this information, but there is also a drug calculation exam that you complete on arrival. If you don't pass this exam you do not proceed to the actual interview.
