  1. How competitive is the program, if you don't mind answering. I am interested in the FNP program and I want to know what is a competitive GPA to them. I know one girl got accepted there with a GPA of 3.2.
  2. I recently got turned down in an RN new grad program due to freezing up on a couple of questions. It was on a med-surg floor and they gave me two scenarios where I had to read the question (think like a normal nursing school test question) and had to explain them what the patient was presenting and what would I do as a nurse. Needless to say, I froze up because I didn't expect anything like that. I prepared myself with the "typical" nurse interview questions. They basically wanted me to say things like what the expected Dx would be, what labs would I expect, what would my priority assessment/actions would be, what diagnostic tests, what medicines would I expect the Dr. to order... all that jazz. I answered the questions, but only after they "walked" me through. I left the interview feeling defeated and knew I did horribly. Of course I didn't get the job. Has anyone else experienced questions like that before? Any advice for how I can prepare for another interview? I may possibly have another interview soon, but my previous experience makes me nervous. I feel like there is no real way to prepare yourself for questions like that other than really know your nursing stuff. Any advice at all would be appreciated!
  3. Thank you both! Your information has been incredibly helpful! Now, to wait..
  4. Question over here. I am still waiting for the letter as well, however my registration date for GSU's classes is today and the only thing i have to take is my nursing classes. For the people who got their acceptance letters already: do you guys have to go through some process in order to register for your nursing classes, or can you just register automatically? I tried calling the office, but the nursing advisor isn't in today :/
  5. congrats blue eyes! i wish you the best of luck! may i inquire what is your gpa and teas test score? i tried calling/emailing fran, but i always have gotten no response or she didnt answer her phone calls.
  6. i know right? i'm also bracing myself for the rejection letter. =/ don't give up though, we can always try again next time!
  7. i also did not get an email. i talked to this one girl who got in for this spring, and she said there were 61 other students for the acceptance emails. i know for fall there were 65 people accepted, so i dont know if they lowered the number for accepting, or they havent decided on the other 4 people yet.
