Georgia State University ACE program Spring 2019

Published

Hello everyone. I noticed a forum hasn't been started for the Spring 2019 ACE cohort. Who else has applied? The deadline isn't until October 1st. I did not make the cut for Fall, so this will be my second and final time applying. Who else has applied? ACE or traditional? Let's keep each other informed.

anyone else heard back yet?

I called 4044131000 and explained that I didn't have access to my status check, So they transferred me to the college of nursing. A lady asked for my name and checked my status. She said my application has been reviewed and I would receive a letter next week. Now I wonder if I have ever been accepted as it is gonna be a letter apparently :(

Don't panic, in past semesters my friends got acceptance letters in the mail, not emails.

so did she say that all of the acceptance letters have been emailed?

No, she didn't. last semester I got waitlisted and I received a letter in the mail and not email. That is why I am kind of concern.

don't stress. GSU is all over the place some of us might get an email and letter, some of us may only get a letter, and some of us may only get an email. we shouldn't rely on what has happened previous semesters cause I feel like things change every semester. like this semester admissions have gone out sooner than the previous semesters so who know!

I noticed they like to send out mail Tuesday

@Chineseduck Someone in the department told me an administrative specialist named Silas Ma-Nais works on Tuesdays to send acceptances and such. I believe more acceptances will be sent on Tuesday.

Does anyone know about the drug test?

All I know is that it cost just over $80

Does anyone know about the drug test?

It is part of the background check. When you sign up for your student advantage account, you can select a place to take it at that time. The place I selected was an urgent care and I just walked in. It was a urine test for 11 substances.

If you're doing traditional, you don't need the drug test until you're approaching the second semester. If you're doing ACE, then you have to get a drug test since clinicals begin on their first semester.
