Georgia State University ACE program Spring 2019

Published

Hello everyone. I noticed a forum hasn't been started for the Spring 2019 ACE cohort. Who else has applied? The deadline isn't until October 1st. I did not make the cut for Fall, so this will be my second and final time applying. Who else has applied? ACE or traditional? Let's keep each other informed.

All of your comments are making nervous. I was under the impression acceptance was distributed based on competitiveness (The better your stats the quicker you hear back). I applied as a traditional nursing student on September the 27th; I haven't heard back. My stats were: program 3.69, Science 3.5, Sequence 4.0, and TEAS 83. I felt my essay was solid although my recommendation letter might have not had a letterhead. My recommender left GSU a year before and didn't have access to one. Aside from this, I can't see where my downfall could have been. Should I be concerned that I haven't heard back? Congrats to those that have made it in. The application process and everything leading up to it is a task.

Same ! & our stats are very similar. I was told acceptances were going out until the end of the month and your stats are great, so don't be nervous. GSU is all over the place as far as sending acceptances so just be patient.

Lets hope we are in and the process is better once in the program. **Crossing Fingers*

Hey, have you heard back? I was told the same over the phone about getting a letter. @https://allnurses.com/member-1282081/

Are acceptance are also sent out as letters? Or only denied and waitlisted applicants receive letters?

Sibhoney, I believe it is only denied and waitlisted applicants that receive letters.

That's not entirely true. GSU isn't very consistent with what they do to send information out. When I applied for fall admission, I received my waitlist letter as an email.

I just got waitlisted

do you know how many people get placed on the waiting list?

Hey! I got accepted for the traditional program too! have you seen any groups for that yet?

@siboney i have no idea, and @katinism not that i know of

Specializes in ICU.
