Published Dec 13, 2017
I just applied to GPC's nursing school for fall 2018 acceptance. Wondering who else has applied?

I must be a terrible reader when it comes to this stuff. She said the letters haven't been sent out yet (which I kinda figured) but that they would be sent no later than April 20. Which seems really late. I just sent in a different app for a diff school on March 13 and they gave me the same date. Weird.

The initial letter I received from GPC said that I would hear something no later than April 30. However, I think in the past they have sent letters out around this time. In the meantime, Clayton State scheduled me for an interview for their BSN program next week. Fingers crossed.

Thank you @apcpr. So I recalculated. I have a 2.81 right now and I inputted the worst possible grades I could realistically get (a C to me is considered failing). I don't think I'm in danger of failing the semester all together but I'm taking AP2 and I'm fearing a C in the course and that'll drop my science gpa.
Good luck @killjoyATL!!!
April 20 seems really late. I wonder what the delay is about.
Good luck I know you can ace it. Unfortunately that's what happened to me. I got a b in micro lab over the summer and a C in A&P during the spring. Bringing my science avg to 2.73. My overall average was 3.4. So when fall came I was dropped. It sucked but I'm still graduating with a degree this spring and I'm now eligible for all of the bsn programs.
In general I think that we as students put a lot of pressure on ourselves and each other before we even get into the program. That in turn leads to students not being able to hang in for the duration of classes. Which sucks but that's the way it is.
For all future readers- that should say 2.67 for science don't freak if ur avg is 2.73 u will not be dropped. And the general 3.34.
Yea this is going to sound terrible but I didn't really read that letter. I scanned it tossed it. It really doesn't mean anything and GPC is the only school I know of that does that.
I applied and got accepted into albanys program but declined because of the distance.
Good luck at ur interview, hope it's not a commute for you.

why did you get dropped when your science GPA maintained a 2.7 ?

Omg I'm an idiot. In my defense I am studying for my chem 1152 midterm that's this Saturday while obsessively checking this website and all emails. I also gave someone the wrong area code for my phone number sooooooo I'm just out of it . I have been trying to practice with balancing equations and chemical reactions cuz I suck at it. I will edit my original. I mean 2.67 and 3.34.
