Hello;
I am applying to Valdosta School of Nursing Accelerated BSN program. I would like to get some insight from those who have attended or is attending the school. How many students do they admit each year into their program? Are the faculty really supportive with the students? Any insight or information will be helpful

I am going to be a freshman this year. Ive heard that the nursing program is excellent. They admit 20 students every semester or 40 a year. They say in order to be admitted you have to have a 2.8 gpa but honestly its higher. A senior was telling me when she was admitted it was a 3.5 and a junior said when she was admitted it was a 3.4....
Ok, thanks for responding and for the information. Do you know if thats for the traditional BSN program or the Accelerated Second Degree program?

]I am not sure of the acceptance rate, but think they take 40 for the accelerated program. I am pretty sure they are sending out acceptance letters this month. Good luck! I do want to hear more from people that have experienced it though.

Does anyone know what semester the accelerated students begin? Thank you!
It begins in May. We start in May term and then Summer begins in June. Hope that helps!
Yes it is. What is the minimum gpa that is accepted. I know that the website says 2.8 but what is it realistically? Do they allow you to take classes over for a higher grade? How many accelerated students are accepted? Is there just one admissions cycle per year for accelerated students? What is the minimum score accepted for the TEAS? Sorry for the bombardment of questions. Thanks so much!
One of my friends is retaking some classes and they only use the classes you need, like A&P, for the GPA. They only have the one class that starts in May. I don't know what the GPA is to be honest and I think there are 31 in our class. I don't know what TEAS is. We took the NET for acceptance. ValTech is starting an RN program and they are having information sessions. I know they had one yesterday so you may want to check that out.
Thanks so much.
