Advice is greatly appreciated. I currently work as an LPN in an outpatient mental health clinic. I love my job but as it stands there is no career advancement even if I transfer to the hospital it is affiliated with. Honestly even if there was I would still want to go back for my RN. I live in Georgia and I am having the hardest time finding a school that is flexible enough to allow me to continue to work. I work Monday through Friday 8 to 530, so I would need to take night classes and weekends.but apparently this is not offered at least I haven't run across any programs that offer this type of schedule for full time workers. If so I only have. 2 options quit my job look for a weekend only position or remain in my current position and forego school all together. Neither of these options are going to work for me honestly.
Are there any LPN to RN bridge programs in Georgia with flexible or semi flexible scheduling? I have to work or will be homeless. I'm even willing to forgo a bridge program and either do a tradition ASN or BSN program if they are flexible enough. Does anyone have any suggestions, I have heard of Indian states program through the college network but haven't come across any positive reviews from online ratings or people I have spoken with that have attempted this option. Please help I seriously want to go on with nursing.
