To anyone in Georgia who has recently passed the NCLEX...how long does it take for the BON to post your license??

Today is day 6 for me (business days) and I am not very patient, besides the fact that they are not very helpful at the BON, I don't understand what takes so long..did they email you to let you know it had been posted or did you just keep checking? Thanks for responding, any info is greatly appreciated!

They sent me an email. I checked online at the BON's website until I received the email. I don't know what takes them so long either. Perhaps you'll get your license tomorrow. But hey, at least you passed! Congrats.

The GA BON is quite slow. Sometimes an inquiring phone call and speed things up.

I'm pretty sure the GA BON is run by the same folks who work at the DMV. Slow, minimally competent, and basically don't give a f***.

I took NCLEX on 2/7/11 and got my PASS quick result on 2/9/11. I'm still waiting for my name to show up on the BON's website. I called the board today and they were less than helpful...they just said to be patient and give it another week. I thought to myself, "ANOTHER WEEK!?!?!". My start date at Piedmont is on the 2/21 and if they can't verify my name on the BON website, my start date will be pushed back to 3/15.

Based on other people in my class, it seems to be a 8-12 regular days (5-7 business days) turn around from when they get their PASS result and from when their name appears on the BON website. Today is day 9 (or the 7th business day) and I'm getting very anxious!

Are there any updates? If you got your results 2/9 or later, has your name been posted yet?

I took my NCLEX on Feb 2, received the quick results on the 4th and my license number was posted on the 15th...that was 9 business days for me...i emailed and called the board almost everyday and was very persistant with them. hope this helps!

Thanks Seminole792! I just checked the BON site again and my name still isn't there. Today is only the 7th business day (or 9 regular days) so based on your timeline, I may not get my RN# until Mon. If it's not posted by tomorrow, that will push my residency start date back 3 weeks so I'm keeping my fingers crossed and thinking all kinds of positive thoughts. I will be calling the Board again tomorrow morning to see if I can "expedite" the process like you did, lol! Thanks again for your input! I'll keep you posted on what happens.

Update: I finally got my RN license # issued at 5:48 pm on Friday 2/18. Overall, it took 10 days ( 8 business days) for me to get it. Now, I just have to keep my fingers crossed and hope that Piedmont will let me start next week. Thanks for everyone's input!

Just in case anyone else looks this up in the future: one of my classmates took the test on 4/25 and her license was posted 4/29(today). Another took the test on 4/22 and her license was also posted today.

I'm coming from out-of-state and am set to start working June 27. How long did it take ya'll from the time you completed your application until you were able to get your license? Our transcripts aren't available until May 16 and I don't know when I should expect to get my ATT if my application is sent that day?

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
