Are there any nursing students attending Georgia highlands nursing program. My question is I've heard a lot of great things about there program how many days a week do they attend school. Is this a good school to apply to. I'm a LPN thinking of applying to the ADN program, But not the bridge because it's a very intense program.

You can pass the bridge I'm sure. I know of many students who passed the bridge portion of the program and then failed out the 2nd year.
lets see... 1st year we went 4 days a week for 2 1/2 moths, then had 4 weeks of clincals.
2nd year we go 1 day a week from 9am to 3pm. Clinical times vary.
Its nursing school so of course its hard, but not nearly as bad as many people make it out to be.
The majority of the instructors are wonderful! there are a few bad eggs, so to speak, but most of them are nice, caring and considerate.
My advice is to make friends with your fellow students. Get a study group soon! And try not to annoy too many teachers.
OH and don't tell too many personal stories during lectures, most students get really annoyed with that.
Anything else you wanna know hit me up, I'm dang near an expert!

toomuchrock.....Knowing what you know now, what would you do differently in starting your first semester of nursing school at GHC? What were things you wished you had known/been told? Did you work while in NS? I'm dying to hear anything you can tell me!
I'm sure you remember the anxious jitters of waiting to start. Hopefully I will be starting this Fall.:wink2:
