Hi,
Anyone out there applying to GHC for Spring 2013? I intend on applying but I would like to hear some other people's stats. I already have a BA with an overall GPA 3.4. I am currently taking pre-reqs for the program, but I have taken I have mostly As and a couple Bs. I don't have to submit SAT scores because of my BA. When I called the office, they said that they consider the SAT an 1100 with a BA. I am taking my TEAS this summer.
Please share your info! Any advise or experiences would be much appreciated too!

I am applying also. I have a 3.9 GPA. SAT is 920, and I am not too excited about that. At the time of my application all of my classes will be complete, except for POLS. I am taking the TEAS in a few weeks; although it doesn't seem difficult. Your stats sound good. You can find out your admission score by pulling the scoring sheet off of the website. You will see there that the TEAS is weighted heavier than the SAT. Though, your SAT score is great, and I don't think you will have to worry about it. Please keep me posted on your progress. It sounds as though we will be seeing each other in the spring. Good Luck to you. I'm sure you will be fine.

Hi ladies,
I am also applying to GHC, and I will be applying in the spring. I am applying for the LPN-RN bridge, so I would start in the summer (I guess after the summer semester we join the regular ASN class). I have a 83.3% adjusted individual score. I have a 4.0 GPA, and a 1040 on the SATs from h.s. How did you both end up doing on your TEAS?
Hi! I am glad to hear from someone!
I got an 80 on the math portion and a 79 on science. I don't recall my other scores. I just focused on the two GHC calculates, math and science.
I'm super excited! It seems letters should go out next week for us. I'm not sure when you all will get letters? I will post on here when I get mine;) good luck!
Hey dascoli20,
I guess my breakdown is pretty similar to yours for test scores. My math was an 83.3 and science was a 75. I am thinking about taking it one more time to see if I can get my score up a little bit higher. The app deadline for the LPN-RN bridge that starts next summer is actually not til March. I have heard that you only find out about a month before the program starts! Best of luck to you :)
Honestly all of your stats are so great I don't think you need to retake the TEAS. They award the highest amount of points for 80 and above. In other words, for your TEAS, a 90 and an 80 are awarded the same amount of points. I guess you could improve the science. I hope that makes sense. I thought about taking it again too until I saw that. Also, I was wrong about the TEAS being weighted heavier. They are the same (10%), but I did better on the TEAS so it seemed that way...lol. I think with your current stats you will slide right in with no problem! I have yet to meet anyone, at GHC anyways, that got an 80 on the Science portion. Few people do. I wouldn't worry about it.
Thanks so much, that is all very helpful info! Definitely keep me updated on your status. I've got my fingers crossed for you, but I don't think you need it! :)

I am currently in the GHC program. I got in for Fall. I was accepted into KSU for this spring so I have all the required text books (only used one semester) and uniform if anyone is interested! Let me know and I will give you my e-mail address!
Congrats to you! If I get in I will take you up on the offer. I don't think I can get pms though. Please give us your thoughts, advice, and experiences if you think they will be helpful. I am sooo happy for you!
Good luck to all of you! My TEAS score was an 86, and I got an A in AnP 1 and a B in AnP 2 and an A in microbiology. I transferred over from KSU so I had over 80 hours when I was accepted in the GHC program including chemistry, statistics, 3 psychologies, sociology... etc. My SAT score was an 1170. I hope that helps! I have lots of advice I can pass down from first semester, feel free to ask any questions!
Glad you were able to get into KSU after you had already done so much work! I have heard they are super competitive. Kudos to you

I also applied to GHC for Spring 2013. I am transferring from another school, so this Spring would be my first semester at GHC. I'm still going through the "new student" process with orientation and such. I had 75 credit hours that transferred, but of the classes the RN program requires I have all A's and a B in a history class. I think My SAT was something around 1120. The area I'm concerned about is the TEAS, I did great in the math section but terrible in the science.
I'm glad I can meet some people at the college because I don't know anybody. When do they typically send out letters? The anticipation is killing me! Good luck to everyone.
