Georgetown CRNA 2022

Published

Hello Fellow RNs!

Who will be applying to Georgetown University for the Summer 2022 start? Working on my personal statements now, taking a break to relieve some stress! Haha.

Has anyone already been invited for an interview?

Specializes in RN-SICU/Hospice CM.

Whelp, I officially got denied ? at least now we know. Hope some of you got news of being waitlisted

Specializes in PCICU.

Also finally got my rejection. Not unexpected given the timeframe but surprised it was from the Graduate School and not the DNAP faculty. I'll keep my fingers crossed for those of you on a waitlist!

Specializes in STICU.

Same here… time to pick up the pieces and try again!

Same but at least we know now. Don’t let this discourage you. All we can do is keep trying ❤️

Got my rejection as well. I agree with the above post, keep trying! This is my 3rd year applying for CRNA school. First year applied to 4 schools, received 1 interview -rejected. Second year applied to 6, interviewed at 6 - received rejections from all. This year applied to 5, received 3 interviews , & got accepted to 1!! (But obvi also rejected).

If you really want this you will get accepted to the school that was meant for you!! The CRNA application process is a rollercoaster of emotions but if you really want this then keep going! I promise you will get in. Good luck guys ?

Nikk, don't worry you dodged a bullet by not going to Gtown. I was talking to some people I know in the area that say to watch out for their director. I think the word they used was "psychotic" LOL. Not to mention I have heard that they have several other issues with their staff and how they treat students. It definitely made me rethink applying there!

Good luck on your future applications though!

Any one willing to share their stats and advice on getting an interview? I am applying 2023 and have no idea where I stand

Hi! I interviewed at Georgetown on 11/4/21 and got an acceptance email on 11/9/21!

Good luck to all!

I don't know how to message you directly on this site, but do you have time to share your stats and interview tips that got you in? I have a 4.0 in undergrad, and am at a good CVICU, but know this is probably not enough for Georgetown. Id really appreciate it if you could share ?

I interviewed on 11/11, and have heard from them today, through email - it said that there's an update to my applicant status page, and I'm in! Wheeee, heading to CRNA school!!

Dude congrats, that must be the best feeling! Would you mind sharing the states and interview tips that got you in? I have a 4.0 in undergrad, and am at a good CVICU, but know this is probably not enough for Georgetown. Id really appreciate it if you could share ?

Hey I interviewed/wasn't accepted to Georgetown but I was accepted to two other amazing institutions. I am an accelerated nursing grad so I have a 3.5 from both my undergrad and nursing degrees. I took the GRE with a cum 306 and 4.0 writing. I've worked 2.5 years at a well regarded level 1 trauma center. Biggest thing I think they look for past grades and experience is leadership. Make sure you are involved in your unit! Hope this is helpful and best of luck!

Aw thanks so much! Honestly leadership is my weak point but I will try to get involved more as I prepare. I really appreciate your reply, when do you start :)?

For those of you in the program, are you enjoying it so far? Pros/cons on the program? Thanks
