$550 / 1br - Ahoy! Cozy furnished basement efficiency in quiet private home (American University Park/Kent)
Clean, quiet, and cozy basement efficiency with separate entrance in private home/excellent neighborhood. Small (8 x 11 ) bedroom/sitting area, tiled shower bath, kitchenette with microwave. No windows, alas! Convenient to American University, Sibley Hospital, bike path, canal, and bus lines. It is not near the metro but has lots of street parking! This is a great place for someone who needs a tidy place to stay --think ship's cabin--but will not accommodate lots of STUFF. W/D accessible. Utilities not included. Available now. Lease and references required. No pets, no smokers.
Arizona Ave, NW at Cathedral Ave NW
If this address that you posted is where I think it is (I lived in DC for 39 years before moving to the burbs) It is pretty convenient to MacArthur Blvd which runs straight into Reservoir Rd which is where Gtown is. That might be good if you don't want to drive but it is pretty far from any metro. Feel free to run stuff past me as I am a native washingtonian and know a good bit about the city.
BostontoDC: Indeed. I for one returned to the bar brawl of micro and chemistry that is my semester. Would hate to have gotten it, gotten the scholarship, and then not be able to go. 'Tis my biggest fear at the moment.
As for a FB page, sure! The fall class seems to put theirs to good use... so I vote yes, but I can't offer much support right now.

Hi all!
I too will need some help figuring out the housing situation... as I will be ? moving from Boston.
Casidygirl, great advice to check out the last cohort's FB page (Georgetown University Fall 2011 ABSN) for some reason, when I tried to search on FB that page would not come up....? Any idea why? Do you need to join the Georgetown network?
Also, thanks to everyone for posting info about their neighborhoods- that has been really helpful!!
