Hey -- anyone else applying to GU Fall of 2013? :)
According to the email: Friday, April 5th - Georgetown Accelerated BSN Information Session, 2pm - 6pm, St. Mary's Hall.
Maybe look for a crowd of confused, wandering people milling around St. Mary's Hall!
Hey, Everyone, if you have yet to do the info session, it's a great experience. It truly is an informational day -- no high-stress scrutiny or interviews. The program is fantastic! My biggest advice is to make sure you eat something before you get there. You'll get hungry! But, they do provide tasty treats and bulldog cupcakes at the end of it all, not to mention a bobblehead bulldog. I suspect I'll see some of you early tomorrow, when the true nail biting begins. As long as we don't bite each other's nails, I suspect we'll do fine.
Ersoch! I don't want to reveal your identity, but you are the kind soul who gave me a ride? Is my memory still intact? How did your interview go? You were AMAZING. Animated, passionate, etc. I would cry if you didn't get the scholarship. That hospital is perfect for you. I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to say goodbye. I went to the other side of the room to talk to the girl who was doing work with fibromyalgia patients because I have fibromyalgia. Hope you will check in when you hear the news. And to all who visit here -- hope things went great for you, too, BRE! -- God bless, and I hope your dreams come true!

Awww, you are too nice! The ride was nothing. Actually, it probably saved me from dire road rage of some sort, given the traffic.
And you know, you're right - I did feel a lot more passionate about that hospital than I was expecting. I had never been there before, but I really felt a connection, so I may just cry too. I hope we end up in the same cohort. How totally awesome would that be?
For people who haven't done the interview day yet, I would give it a 5 out of 5. I don't want to name names, but the people who are in charge of the program are the sort of people you look at and think, "I hope I am just like you one day." They were so welcoming, and really encouraged you to ask questions. The hospital is especially strong in cardiology, so if you have an interest in cardiology, it's a great place for you. It also has a super cool trauma ICU. However, they don't have peds and they don't have any psych, so they did say that if those are your interests, this scholarship may not be for you.

Also, Saturday metro trains leave later, so it might be tough to get to the scholarship interview day on time unless you are already close to the location.
