Is anyone applying/been accepted to this program? If you've been accepted, what were your stats? What has been your experience so far? If you're applying, how was your experience?

Not sure if you're still considering GW, but I just got accepted this week. The experience of applying has been great and I'd encourage you to get hold of their veterans' office. They were really approachable and have been helpful through the process. I don't want to put my stats out there publicly, but the admissions office told me that the single most important thing you can do is to have high grades in your pre-req classes, and that recommendations are also weighed heavily. Hope that helps!

I did end up applying, I'm waiting for nursingCAS to verify my transcripts now. How long after the verification did your application go up for review? How long did it take to receive a decision? Did you apply for the VBSN program? I got a recommendation from my former XO and my former Chief so I think I've got those down okay. And pre-req gpa is decent, not fantastic though. I'm just crossing my fingers now but I gotta say the wait is killing me!

Yup, I applied for VBSN. I was verified in NursingCAS at the end of October, got sent for preliminary review 11/21, sent for final review 12/1, and got my conditional admission on 1/10. After everything is complete in NursingCAS, GW will send you an email saying that they have everything they need, and they'll send it for preliminary review. At that point you can probably call them and ask how long it will take. When I talked to them, they said they evaluated applications on a very individual basis. My undergrad GPA wasn't amazing either, but I had other coursework after that where I did much better, and I'm sure that helped. They basically want to make sure that if they admit you, you'll be able to complete the program. I know what you mean about the wait, I was refreshing my email about every 5 minutes for a while!

Hey there. I just applied for the vbsn and my application is under review by the admissions committee. Just wondering if you've heard back!

Not yet. Mine got submitted for final review 24 Jan. I'm expecting a response by the end of February but who knows. Keep me updated if you hear back!

Will do, you too!

No, you? When did your application get sent for final review?

No. I only got an email saying it was being reviewed by the admissions committee on 24jan, nothing about final review :(. I emailed them and was told they should be wrapping up decisions mid week and would hear something by the end of this week or for sure the following week

Thanks for the info and good luck! This will be one stressful week and possible weekend.

No problem. Keep me posted if you hear anything. I will do the same!
