George Mason BSN Accelerated Program- Fall 2014

Published

Hi!!!

I'm applying for Fall 2014, and I wanted to know how competitive it is to get in? Anyone that was accepted for Fall 2013, what were your grades and GPA?

I would greatly appreciate any tips. Thank you!!!

Hey, so I asked this question to a personnel in the Nursing Admissions, but I wanted to hear from students in GMU's Accelerated Nursing Program. I was wondering how GMU has an even shorter program (12 mos program) as opposed to other universities that have a 15-16 mos programs, like how does it work (what does it consist of), how is it so condensed/the intensity of the program, do you even have time to study? lol

To those that decided they didn't want to go here thank you for the chance! I got off the waitlist and I was so happy that I cried I really can't wait to meet everyone who is going! I'm sorry in advance if I'm a bit slow for clinicals because I actually do not have any experience but I will work my butt off to catch up. I also hope we develop some kind of car pooling system since clinicals are everywhere >

Sue033 what did the people at nursing admissions tell you for how they are able to condense it so much?

Congratulations, lovelyxvivi! That's great news! How did they contact you to inform you that you'd been accepted off the waitlist? Do you have any further insight into how they evaluate waitlisted students, and how long the waitlist is? Thanks!

Great news lovelyxvivi! Good luck to everyone else still on the waitlist!

Thank you so much! Well apparently they first tried to call me (I had no service) so they sent me an email informing about a spot and that I had like 5 hours to contact them back thank goodness I checked my email. I don't know how they evaluated the waitlist or how long it is :/ perhaps based off of who decided to be on the waitlist first?

Is anyone else registered for orientation? I'm going on June 17th, but I'm trying to decide between the daytime or evening orientation. If anyone is going to one of those, lets meet!

Hi deej394-I registered for the June 17 evening orientation... the only daytime orientation I saw was on the 27th. The shorter orientation looked better to me :-)

I've noticed in past years a facebook group has been started to connect the admitted students. Would anyone be interested in that?

Ok hey everyone I went ahead and created a Facebook group for any admitted students that wish to connect with fellow classmates before the beginning of the program. It's GMU ABSN Class of 2015 - Fall 2014 Entry. Congratulations to all!

I can't find the group. The only one for GMU is 2012-2013. Anyone else able to find it? Or could it be under a different name? Thanks!
