George Brown RPN to BScN

World Canada CA Programs

Hey guys,

I got accepted into the George Brown (Toronto, Ontario) RPN to BScN program for this September. I know they just provide 1 bridging year, and then you have to apply to Trent U's BScN program for the remaining year. I was just curious if anyone could share their experiences in this program and how the process was applying to Trent after completing the 1 year at George Brown.

Thanks y'all :)

Hi! I had an 81.5 average. Where were you looking to apply? Some schools like McMaster and Conestoga require the CASper testing and that is weighted as 50% of your application as well.

Oh that's awesome :) That give me hope that I will be accepted. I live in Toronto, so George Brown is pretty much my number 1 choice, and probably the only school I will apply to. It was also the only RPN program I applied to.

Yes I'm sure you will get in no problem!!! Keep up the good marks :)

I emailed George Brown for a bit more information on their bridging program as it's kind of unclear whether you have to apply after the bridge year or if you move on automatically should you meet all the requirements - so if you'd like I can pass along that info to you as well.

Good luck with the PN program!!

Yeah that would be awesome thank you!! I don't know very much about the bridge program other than the minimum requirements to get in (no marks under 70, and a 76 average)

I looked into most of the bridging programs, so if you have any questions I might be able to help out :)

Hey! Hows the bridging program going? I hope the potential strike doesn't affect you. Did you graduate in April and then go straight into the bridge or work for a bit?

Hey! I ended up at the McMaster-Mohawk bridging program instead of George Brown. The strike half affects us as some of our teachers are McMaster profs so thankfully, we can continue with those classes. It's a good program, the first year is just to bridge the gaps in Anatomy and Patho and then the critical thinking classes. I graduated the PN program in December and worked until school started in Sept (what most people in my class did).
