How long does it take to hear if you have been granted or not? Do they always let you know either way, or only if you get it? Thanks in advance!

Most scholarships have deadlines, and depending on the number of applicants, it can be a few weeks to a few months. I had one I just applied for that I won't hear about until July. It's a good idea to have financing that covers everything, and think of the scholarship as a bonus.

I think some will tell you when they make a decision by if you ask them.

Depends on who the scholarship is through, their deadlines, when the committees meet, etc. If you applied for a scholarship through a certain school or organization, I'd call them and ask when recipients are notified. I'm sure they get asked that question alot. :)

I went and interviewed for some scholarships funded by my school, and it took them about 3-4 weeks to notify us whether (and how much) we were awarded.

Thanks! The hospital I work for informed me of these scholarships. I applied for one last year and never heard a thing. I wonder if they even got the application now, hmmm...
