What is everyone wearing for graduation this year? Last year I wore a dress for my LPN grad, but I'm thinking of capris this year. The gown is long enough that no one would ever know the difference...

 24 more days!!

I am planning to find THE perfect gown for the pinning ceremony/dinner. (lol) as far as graduation, I am planning to wear a "sundress" type thing under the gown because I have been warned that it gets really hot under the lights on the stage. Besides, you are right, no one sees it. Now, for shoes...........

I'm wearing my braided sandals

During graduation that is the only part of me that all will see. (gowns seem to be based on height so one size fits all....a bit like a big sack I'd say) But anyway, I don't know if I should wear more formal type shoes or sandals, pumps, something summery (is that a word?) or if I should just go for comfort.

decisions, decisions......

braided sandals sound pretty. What color. Do you have to wear white?

Our caps and gowns are white, but what we wear underneath is up to us. And yes, they do look like big potato sacks! My sandals are a natural hemp-like material, and they tie around the ankles.

My cap and gown are both Navy blue and the tassle is white. We were told to wear white shoes, any style.

Now about the cap.....are you wearing your hair up or down? I have to remember to buy many bobby pins or that thing will never work. Because or my hair style I'd like to pin it fast to the back of my head, but the tassle hangs in my face that way LOL

wearing hair down...last year we bobby pinned our caps back as far as we could! It seems like they could make a more user friendly graduation cap...

:p I finally bought a dress, only 5 days away from graduation. It has a gathered bustline, spagetti straps and an asymmetrical hemline. It's so cute! And I can wear my hemp sandals!

WOOT! Good luck grads!

only going through the pinning ceremony so we are wearing white uniforms with our caps.

only 32 more days

Woot! to you Rena! We don't have a pinning ceremony, just plain graduation.

The gowns that are worn at my university are black and do up at the neck at the front but completely allow everyone to see what is underneath as they are open from the neck tie so nice clothing is definately a must by all. But clothing, shoes and hair style is left up to the person receiving the award.

I found something really cute back in Feb for this day. Its a solid pink long sleeve blouse and black flowered skirt. Our gowns are sold black with red cloak. The tassle is salmon pink. I cant wait.
