I got all of the paperwork, orientation, health services stuff done and I am officially on the schedule! I opted to wait and orient on the floor the week of 3/10 (spring break) rather than have it split between the next 3 Friday/saturday shifts (which will be my normal days to work) b/c I think I'll learn more working 5 days straight. I am so excited, everyone was so nice, and seemed very happy that I was there, even though I am only a nurse aid I and not a II!! Wish me luck!!
Good Luck!! When you have time to ask questions don't just ask what, ask why. That's how I learned soooo much in the ER. Learn protocols (they usually have printed sheets), look at labs etc. You will have a great time there!
