Hey gang!
I wanted to once again thank everyone who responded to my post several months ago. For those of you who have forgotten, or don't have a clue what I'm talking about, I'll bring the thread back up.
I just wanted to let you know that I am starting my pre-reqs in September in Buffalo. I re-read my original post a few minutes ago. Boy, have I matured since then! I can't wait to start the nursing program - God willing I get in!
I owe my final decision to get into nursing to all you wonderful folks who responded.
Since my original post, I have sold my own home (closes in August), have gone part time in my career (will stop altogether while taking the pre-reqs, and if/when accepted into nursing, except for the summers), and have built up a support network with all of my closest friends and family and have told them only words of encouragement will be welcomed should I start feeling apprehensive. And of course, and best of all, I have all of you who I know will be there when I need you!
I can't believe how excited I am to get back to school! I guess the countdown is beginning for me, too! 5 (maybe 6?) semesters to go, and I will be writing the NCLEX!
Thanks again to everyone for your support! You are forever in my heart!
Alexander :kiss

Very good! You sound just like I did right before I started back to school this spring. My school is on the quarter system, so I am currently in my 2nd quarter & am working on some pre-reqs. I took and intro to healthcare course and chemistry last term & now I am taking A&P and a healthcare informatics course. Enjoying them very much...even the A&P!
Good luck to you! I'm sure you'll do great! :kiss
