Published

Any tips on understanding fluids and electrolytes? We are coming up on our last test, and we are going over Fluids and electrolytes RIGHT before...

This is extremely difficult for me to grasp, so any help as well as tips would be GREATLY appreciated!

If you have a book store near you, I would go pick up a great pocket guide I recently found called "Fluid & Electrolytes an Incredible Easy Pocket Guide." ISBN: 1582554331

I ordered mine through BN and the shipping was really fast.

It really helped me...

Good luck,

Fluid and Electrolytes was the most intimidating subject to me, but once i really sat down and learned it...it is now second nature. I too used the fluid and electrolytes made incredibly easy and they showed us a video in class called 'name that baby' for acid base.

About #5 down is the F&E tutorial.

It's a giant pain to find but it will be so worth it for you!!! It's a step by step tutorial for all the F&E imbalances - even comes with a quiz with feedback if you need help understanding why you missed the question. Once you understand those - then use some of the other links to work on acid/base imbalances.

Good luck!!!
