I am going up to school tomorrow to register for my summer classes. I am very nervous. I am taking 6 hours summer 1, and 7 hours summer 2. I will be working 25-30 hours a week. I hope I don't break down...lol. I think I have it figured out, I am just glad summer is only 10 weeks . I am pretty excited to be getting 13 hours out of the way in only the summer. I t will be hard and long but oh well .....summer is to freakin hot here to go outside. So what is everyone else taking? Anyone ever taken this many hours and survived? The best part, is that after summer I will have all pre-reqs out of the way and all but 2 non-nursing classes done! Then after the 2 I will take in fall I will be ready to apply for spring!!!!! Yipee:D

I had the choice between OB/Peds or Med Surg/Psych this summer.I chose Med Surg because that area is already familiar to me,as I don't know a thing about birthin' babies and I wouldn't recognize a fundus if it slapped me.I will have OB/Peds in the fall and then I'm outta there.YEEHAA!

I am taking chem 1 and 2 this summer and I suck at chem, anyone know of any useful sites that help chemicallly challenged people understand it any better? I am so chemystified!

yes, it is summer classes for me too. this will be my psychosocial clinical rotation. i am too debating whether or not to take advanced pharmacology to eliminate having three nursing classes this fall. i have a few weeks yet to make up my mind about pharm.

I am also taking summer classes. My school doesn't offer a lot of courses that count as prerequisites to nursing so I might just take some to get requirements out of the way. I'm planning on taking 3 classes or 9 credit hours.:p

marilynmom,

I've heard that too. I had a friend who took chemistry and described it as a "crunch course" because summer semesters are shorter than the rest. But don't let it discourage you, you are just closer to finishing than if you did it any other semester.
